the Trinity

1 PETER 1:8-9.JPGI thought about this the other day

And it changed my mind in a special way

I thought about the Trinity

In a way that made me truly see

A new perspective about my God

And this new life that I now trod

The Father, Son and Holy Ghost

My Father above that I love most

I never, ever really thought

What Jesus’ death had really bought

Salvation was the only key

To fill the hole inside of me

and when I said that powerful prayer

The sky was parted everywhere

The angels roared in unison

Another soul is saved from sin!

I’m now made whole, and I belong

To an eternal roaring and joyful song

They sing forever in powerful blast

Gone is the lost and sorrowful past

Katie is now part of our song

And we will sing forever long!

That’s a powerful thought right there!

But I went past that thought in prayer

And considered what became of me

I am now part of that Trinity.

The Spirit spoke, the One of Three

And said, “Hello, I’m here, it’s Me”

I am a part of you right now

Don’t forget that no matter how

Scared you feel about your life

I’m always here, inside your strife.

God sometimes feels so far away

Inside my head when I bow and pray

I think about Him up in heaven

And I feel that He is a million-times-seven

And forty-two billion miles away

And that I bother Him when I pray

like I’m so little and my issues so small

And why should I bother Him with my call

And that’s when it hit me up side me head

When I thought that thought my face turned red

Cause I heard His voice inside of me

And He said, “My child, how could that be?”

Cause I’m right here, you silly goose

I joined you child, I’m inside of you

I’m not far away, no matter what you do

I’ll never leave, my precious one

Your soul is mine, your battle won!

When you pray, a connection is made

I hear your mind, you now are saved!

I gave you my Spirit when the heavens parted

In an instant this new relationship started!

And I’ll never leave you, I’m always here

You’re my child, my love, you are so dear!

You’re part of me, we’re forever connected

Don’t feel like prayer is ever rejected

Or feel that I’m so very far away

Inside of you, I will always stay.

And when you quiet your sinful mind

And ask to feel me, with words so kind,

You quiet the constant, incessant chatter

And think about things that really matter

I’ll let you feel my heavenly power

It will ignite your senses with an electric blast!

It will be brief, my child, don’t expect it to last

Your hair will rise, your soul will fill

Inside your body, you’ll feel me still

And calm your worry, hurt, and fear,

Because you know that I’m right here!

Heaven’s great power cannot last long

It’s too much for you, child, so brief is it’s song.

Calm your mind often, focus on me,

And you will learn and you will see

That this great power will grow as you do

You will have more of Me in you!

A new habit of focus within your soul

Will help you grow, to mend and just roll

With all of the punches that life will bring

And you’ll focus on the most important thing

The power of God, His Son, the Holy Ghost

And nurture that gift of Love that matters most.

I am a part of the Trinity!

He now exists inside of ME!

I must harness My God-power that surely lives

And talk to others about a Savior that gives

A powerful, awesome and direct connection

To heaven, to mercy, and eternal Salvation!

The gift of the Holy Spirit is so powerful.  I had never really focused my thoughts on it before.  The thought of God is always so overwhelming.  The fact that we can bow our heads and just speak to the Creator of everything in existence is mind-blowing.  It’s so overwhelming sometimes that it makes me feel small, even though I logically know I’m not.  Ego gets in the way of my logic.

So, I prayed about that thought and God answered with this even more overwhelming thought.  I am within you.  The Great I-AM. Inside of me?  Wow.  How did I forgot about the Holy Spirit?  I am part of the Holy Trinity!  I don’t have to feel so small when I know that I am directly connected to Him through the gift of His Spirit within me.  That is AWESOME!

The more often we quiet our minds and allow the Spirit of God to be felt and heard, the more powerful our connection Him will be.  Its like any habit we develop, the more often we do it, the more powerful it becomes.  God will always be with us, in our most trying times – when my Spirit craves him the most.  I am learning to PRAISE Him too and nurture the Spirit with joy as well.

I am so thankful for BibleGateway.com.  It is always my tool when I have a rhyme and an idea about my faith.  I always need to resource my ideas with His Word.  I need to make sure my focus is always on His truth and not my own.

This passage of Scripture is taken from the book of John, where John the Baptist – the man who baptized Jesus – saw the essence of the Holy Spirit of God on Earth for the very first time!  I love when he states that we are Born of GOD!  When we receive him we become children of God.  Goosebumps!

John 1:10-20  (NIV)

10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God,but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[a] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

  1. I loved your poem about the Trinity!
But, the line, “More of Me in you!”–it cannot be!
The person of the Spirit cannot come in portions.
    It’s all-at-once! It’s very important
that we point this out to everyone,
because the Spirit Is THE SON!

    enjoy these thoughts
“When (or if ever) you arrive in heaven, let faith, hope and love be the wings that carried you there.”

    – as adapted from the inspiring words of Jonathan Edwards, former minister in New England, Massachusetts

“The Greatest Race: Living by (with) faith, hope and love is the highest podium any person can reach, God’s podium that anyone stand on.”
    – c

“Having pursued the goals, the dreams set before us and run the race with persistence and endurance, after giving it all. Then one day standing on the summit of life, breathing in the pure sweet oxygen of achievement, totally satisfied in running the greatest race, the race of life one that ANYONE can run and win.”

    • Thanks for those thoughts and comments. They are very powerful. Faith Makes sense when nothing else does.
      Hebrews 11:1
11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

      • Pleasure. As “the nurse” often says my/our story is unique and when my/our lives fell apart, all I could do was submit and trust God (not knowing, but led by close friends) and put my faith in Him. And that’s why my faith is so strong and I share a bit… and am “safest” just writing and sharing . As my friends and family say no one could believe it trying to follow me in the “real word”!

Have a great day, “sorry but don’t know your name”

        Blessings “early bird”

PS Think God has a sense of humour (watching us make plans) and can laugh with us
“Do not go where the path may go. Go where where there is no path and leave a trail”…of chaos???
