God is great and God is good

He makes all thing work as they should

he reminds us that He’s here

and watching, caring when we fear

The report from my specialist, Anna A. Kulidjian, MD, was super encouraging.  She is a really smart, kind and gentle doctor.  She is absolutely beautiful inside and out and before she left she gave me a huge hug.  She told ME that she was so thankful that we met!

PRAISE!

I know without any doubt that God guided us to her in His special way.  She actually knows and has worked with my specialist, Dr. Michael Gross, back in Nova Scotia who operated on me when the tumor was found 17 years ago. How crazy is that?!

She gave me a cortisone shot for the pain.  She said that I have acute arthritis that is shocking for someone so young.  She said that the mass that has developed in my distal femur is something we must investigate further but she is really convinced that it isn’t the Giant Cell Tumor coming back.  She said that they usually only come back within the first 5 years of diagnosis, not 17!

Praise!

I have to get an MRI, collect my records from the hospital in Halifax and have a chest x-ray done.  Nothing was said about having a bone biopsy – I was really apprehensive about that.

PRAISE!

So as you can guess, my husband and I sang God’s praises the whole drive home!  We feel so encouraged and so happy.  Plus, the cortisone shot gave me a relief that I haven’t felt since I was a kid!  Walking with no pain?  are you kidding me?  It’s so real and so amazing.  The only thing I regret is not doing this sooner!
