How Do We Know the Bible Is True?
Is there something that has happened in your life that has made you truly understand that God is real? Has He shown Himself to you in a special way? I have seen signs of Him and His love my whole life. It started when I was really young. I wrote a rhyme about it, and here it is…
Guess what, I have a secret
And I don’t want to keep it
Quiet stuck inside
It’s a big thing that I must say
I’ll publish this one today.
I know that eternity is real
I know this because I got to feel
What no beginning and no end
Feels like on Earth, my reader friend.
I had not reached my accountable age
I was still innocent with little to wage
Nothing besides what was said
Was measured inside my tiny head
I had no concept of consequence
…
So, I’ll tell you with empty words to express
What happened to me, I feel such duress
Cause words don’t exist in this world of sin,
To describe what I felt, but I’ll try and begin.
I remember the feeling as I looked to the sky
I could tap into eternity, that’s no lie!
Something would happen to me when I thought
About God up in heaven, my spirit was brought
To a place I believe only innocence can feel
It made me feel like I wasn’t real
No beginning and no end?
I existed forever and ever, my friend.
When I would have this powerful feeling
I would tell my mom, my little mind reeling,
“Help me” mom, “I don’t feel real,” I would say.
Please make that feeling go so far away.
I want to know why this has to be.
I couldn’t understand what was happening to me.
The feeling overwhelmed my innocent mind.
I reached for anything I could find
To bring me back to a sturdy place
Instead of feeling lost out in that space.
I remember telling my mom, I am scared
“I don’t feel real mom, this isn’t fair?”
Why do I feel that when I look to the sky
I’m scared of that feeling, I don’t know why!
My mother was as wise as can be
She explained what was happening to me.
She said, “You have a special gift from above.”
God was showing himself to me, that was His love.
The Creator of all that is around,
was showing himself! Now that is profound!
I wish there was a better way
to tell you what I want to say.
But that is how God designed us to be
that here on earth, we can’t grasp eternity.
It’s too much for us to understand,
so we just need to take His hand.
When I was young God let me feel
what it’s like to “not be real.”
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
No, God is not dead, He is surely Alive! And He does live on the inside, and He DOES ROAR like a LION! It’s undeniable. He is so real.
Ephesians 6:12
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
God’s great infinite gift is for all
You just have to answer His loving call
So that one day I’ll see you when we all attend
The party in Heaven with no beginning or end.
Please leave a comment and let me know how God has shown Himself to you in your life. It’s so important that we share these experiences because they are SO REAL. He isn’t a mysterious mystic hiding and laughing at us cause we can’t find Him. He craves our love. He wants us to find Him and He will show Himself if we look for Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to us. It’s true! Nothing has ever been more true than that.

New International Version
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
