Thoughts from an American Girl who was Blessed to grew up in a Socialist country. me.

I am preparing for our school day today. Absolutely floored by what I am learning. JFK, Cuba, Fidel Castro, Lyndon B. Johnson, Great Society…Socialism and Communism are always paved with demonic good intentions – save the poor, feed the hungry, give money to places where it is most needed. It is COMPULSORY “freedom” from the tyranny of poverty – which leads to government controlled tyranny imposing poverty on the masses.

It is insanity.

Praise Jesus for eyes that can see. Please pray about what you read and if you feel led to share it with your children, please do so. I feel it’s a gift that I can share my experiences having grown up in a Socialist Country and warn my children of how terrifying it is to let your capacity to choose disintegrate before your eyes.

We need to hold hands, apply Biblical wisdom and never stop fighting for our freedom to choose Jesus and enjoy our rights to worship him in the way we do. The enemy’s intent is to destroy Jesus – don’t be blinded. Pray for eyes that can see.

Question: What was the first thing God gave humans after life?

Answer: Choice.

Think: Why do Communism and Socialism fail?

2 Corinthians 9:6-8

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Decide – not under compulsion – Remember what happened in Acts 5 with Ananias and Sapphira? In complete opposition to how Barnabas gave to the apostles with joy in his heart, they gave money with greed and out of compulsion and ultimately died from the blackness of their hearts.

We must learn – but how will we learn? From lessons taught or from punishment?

Giving generously is a choice you must make and what you give honors God, not government. Helping the poor, encouraging Biblical values of loving your neighbor as yourself, all of those things are essential to the Christian life. It is a byproduct of love. God is love and does not force us to love Him. He allows us to choose to love Him.

He gives us rules and regulations, and the free-will to follow them.

Why doesn’t Socialism or Communism work?

It begins as compulsory, forced and government regulated generosity. It removes choice and creates a platform for indulgence, sloth and ultimately destroys dreams and society as a whole.

We are commanded to work hard in Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Socialism takes the “working hard as unto the Lord” away and forces humans to work for the government. The Socialist/Communist government robs people of their right to decide – it removes the capacity for success and controls every aspect of the business owners choices. Is that Biblical?

Any form of Government who stands in the way of your capacity to serve God and work the way He commands is not okay. It will fail. Government is not God. But it was appointed by God to reflect your own choices, hard work and dedication to maintain freedom.

In 1787, Benjamin Franklin said “A republic, if you can keep it” when asked about the country’s new government. Franklin’s comment suggests that democratic republics are dependent on the people’s involvement and support.

Constitutional Republic – not based on people’s opinion, but based on truth. How long will we keep it? Will we fight for it?

What are we doing today to give our children the freedoms they deserve to choose, to love Jesus and work wholeheartedly as unto the Lord.
