Is it Bad Timing? TAXES OR TARIFFS

I have been hearing a lot about taxes and whether they are right or wrong, smart or stupid, legal or illegal. I know from history, that taxing Americans led to some heated conversations and some gnarly responses. Proactive Americans took their stand and took their frustrations out on a bunch tea in Boston’s harbor.

A tariff or duty (the words are used interchangeably) is a tax levied by governments on the value including freight and insurance of imported products. Different tariffs applied on different products by different countries.

This tariff process was the way America used to pay her debt. It was not taxing the people of America but taxing the countries who wanted to reap benefit from our thriving economy. Basically charging China rent to do work here.

“If you want to do business here on this land that I own, you have to pay rent to do so.” Said smart American business owners to every other country in the world…

If you want to work here you have to pay me” said one failed idiot to thin air…

Why would you agree to pay your boss to work for their company? Your boss collects money from their contracts, not their employers…last I checked….

The idea of the AMERICAN GOVERNMENT OR THE IRS – WHOEVER THEY ARE – taxing, double taxing, and triple taxing us used to be illegal. We need to stand up again and throw around some tea bags and say NO.

Why? Because we are America! We did it before and it WORKED. This is not a failed response. We must remember that we run this country. Not the government. America is WE THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE!!!

1862 – President Lincoln signed into law a revenue-raising measure to help pay for Civil War expenses. The measure created a Commissioner of Internal Revenue and the nation’s first income tax. It levied a 3 percent tax on incomes between $600 and $10,000 and a 5 percent tax on incomes of more than $10,000.
