137 – Sanctification of Submission

How kind and wonderful is the Lord. He is such a wonderful daddy. The fact that I got to see a whole pound of pain lifted off my shoulders is a wonderful and sweet hug to start my day. Thank you Jesus.

I felt discouraged with my performance when it came to temptation – I felt this because I was still holding on and trying to control things on my own. I know that growth and progress are essential parts of my Christian walk. God doesn’t usually do a “poof” solution. He is not a genie. He is God. He is a daddy who teaches lesson that last, not quick fix temporary fixes. He instills. He sanctifies. He forgives and forgets. He is the source of all wisdom.

I submit to you Jesus. You are the author and finisher of my faith. I submit to you as this trial has turned to discipline – you’re teaching me to grow in my next level of faith. This growth is essential and you have given me such a wonderful translator – the Holy Spirit. As I understand the language of pain, and to appreciate it instead of hate it, you are teaching me Your ways.

Thank you for taking the time to teach me and to mold me to be more like you. To teach me that the ways of the world are always going to trip me up, and Your ways always lead to blessings and righteousness. I love you so much for all that you do for me. For loving me first and choosing me for this life of Salvation. Thank you for the Bible – for my only telephone call to You, Lord. You speak kindly to me and teach me all about who you are. Thank you that I can read this freely here in America and I pray that You would protect that freedom. It is such a wonderful blessing.
