I am writing to express my strong opposition to Assembly Bill (AB) 84, which is currently under consideration in the Assembly Education Committee. As a concerned resident of your district and a parent, I am deeply troubled by the potential impacts of this bill on our education system, particularly its restrictions on parental choice, school funding, and access to diverse educational programs. I urge you to consider the broader implications of AB 84 on educational equity and parental rights. Instead of restricting options, we should be expanding opportunities for all students to access high-quality, diverse educational experiences. I respectfully request that you vote against AB 84 and advocate for policies that preserve parental choice, protect funding for non-classroom-based programs, and support partnerships that enrich our children’s education.

Please make note that I strongly oppose AB 84.

We homeschool our children and they thrive.  Because AB 84 depends on tax dollars that are provided by We The People – we expect that our voices be heard and there would be no infringement on our rights.  Taxation without representation is a costly move by the government and we do not support any decision that would take away our rights to school our children how we choose.  We have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  We know what is best for our children and removing funding for Charter School facilities and Public Schools would greatly damage our ability to school our children at the level of expectations placed upon them.

Again, we strongly oppose AB 84.
