Love the Lord
Enjoy His protection
you who are loyal
the harsh punishment
lies on the arrogant
so be strong
be so courageous
put your hope in the Lord

so you’re offended
’cause I’m a fool
and you don’t like
that I stand out
and I’m not enjoying your sin
the word of truth,
convicts
exposes
relentless
imposes
it makes you
act out
it allows
you to shout

you try to bring me down
so you can wear your crown
you try and hurl your stones
mobs encircle around
heaven’s glory comes down
changes my face
angels erase
i can’t feel
i can’t see
all i say
is what’s in me
you’re so divine
your power’s mine
your promise true
as I repeat
the history
of you in me

the crowds despurse
and what is left
is multitudes
of souls who repent
because this time
the power seen
is God above and me between
Jesus standing and God Himself
i was restored
but not for me
it was for you
so you could see
the greatest reward
is to not be included
and to stand true to our Lord
never be diluted
