Properties of matter are the stuff that describe what it is
made of,
like its color,
size,
texture
and weight.
Matter also has a state!
like solid, liquid, gas
oh you don’t have to ask
it has other properties
like density,
hardness,
magnetism,
and solubility.

You can observe
these physical properties
using your senses
or by measuring what you see
without changing
the matter’s identity

size is another How big or how small?

Texture will tell you how does it feel?
is it pretend or is it real?
Is it smooth or rough, squishy or tough?

Weight and Mass tell another story, The amount of “stuff”
that the matter holds, is it enough?
is it heavy or light, i’m holding this with all my might!

Density, is such intensity
How much matter is packed into a certain amount of space.
the stress is written all over his face!

Hardness, regardless:
you can try with all you do
How resistant something
is to being scratched by you

Magnetism drawn instinctively
Whether a material is attracted to a magnet, have we met?
i’m drawn to you and you are drawn to me!

Solubility dissolving like sugar in water
what once was there, is gone quickly
bye bye, sugar, we no longer see
the sugar anymore,
but we taste it so it must be

taste and see that God is Good
and science is his language,
so we always should
remember that we matter,
we matter to God
and He loves us so
we love you Jesus
