father,
please hear my prayer

i could hear
the Lord asking,
“Whom should I send
as a messenger
to this people?
Who will go for us?”
to the farthest place
to the deepest end
who will go
if i send?

I said, softly
so only i could hear
“Here I am. Send me.”
with eyes, so full of tears

use me, let me wield your sword
