The women came to see Jesus
because of the love He gave
on the first Easter morn’
to anoint his body in the grave
yet, an angel had come to meet them
to touch their hearts full of dread
and this is what he said:

Peace on the earth!
Good will to men!
from Heaven’s all-gracious-King!
The world has witnessed Salvation today!
because of the good news I bring!
