Why Tutor?
This is a great question. I enjoy my HomeSchool experience, but I began losing interest in teaching math. I started seeking help from my friends at church. This is when I discovered the joy of tutoring. Your homeschool experience will be so enriched with that extra layer of love your tutor will bring your family. Tutoring is a gift from God.
How did I make this awesome discovery? Good question! My close friend, Jami Nichols, a HomeSchool mom of 11 years, explained the benefits of tutoring. I tried it and wallaaaa! It was the solution I was desperately looking for!
How to pay for tutoring?
You can pay for the tutoring with your funding from charter school funding.

BONUS FEATURES: My children love their tutors. They have become like family to us, and this is an unexpected blessing from Jesus. Yes, I continue to be present in their growth, which is what I desire most. Now I witness my children flourishing in new relationships as they fellowship with other Christian women. The relationship is mutually beneficial for the tutor, the student, and the mom. So, now I am paying it forward!

You can be paid privately by the family who is registered with Simply Swank Tutoring Services. They will pay you at their home.
Payment With PCA
$45/hour
You will register your Tutoring Account with Pacific Coast Academy and you will be paid through them. I will help you register with Pacific Coast Academy.
Common Questions:
Do you need a degree to be a tutor?
No, you do not need a degree, but we expect you to be proficient in the subject you are tutoring. If our child needs help with math and you do not understand how to help with math, well, you get the point…
Is this Commitment on a Permanent Schedule?
Yes & No, you do not always need to commit for a full school year. A student might only need tutoring 1 day a week and may only need a month here or there. Or perhaps, they will want to see you 2 or 3 times a week. This is will be tailored to your mutual needs, and will be determined on a case by case scenario.

Note* This service is available to close friends and family only – through our church. If you are not a close friend of The Mission Church, we will not have the ability to serve your family properly. I personally upload all information that you will see on this website. I also get feedback from the families on how their experience is developing.
