I recently created my own line of body care, Simply My Swank. My products are unique in their design, they don’t include any soap or any coconut oil.
In my opinion, soap and coconut oil dominate the body care industry. What do you think? Am I right? (I know what you’re thinking – you’re thinking. “DUH!”). That’s like saying we all breathe oxygen, or the sky is blue. It’s a silly statement cause it’s just what we do, it’s “how it is”. That’s what living is all about.
We wash with soap and coconut oil is the absolute best. It smells great, it feels wonderful and it is what I put on my skin. Doterra tells me so. A billion dollar industry is telling you to use Fractionated Coconut Oil as your carrier oil – think about it. It’s not edible – the fractionation process makes a solid fat into a completely liquid fat – for what reason? Why not just use another oil like Cucumber Seed Oil (this link is an amazonsmile affiliate link)! Which is beautiful, perfect for our skin and not greasy at all!
Are you protesting? Please don’t argue with me, please take your argument up with Harvard University. Those silly gooses are typically known to be wrong and uneducated right?
Enough about Saturated Fat, let’s talk about something else.
Also, every single product that is on the shelf of a store includes preservatives – they have to! Many of products claim to be chemical free, but if you look at the ingredient list – you will see they have some sort of stabilizer or preservative included (sneaky buggers). Mine is all made free of any sort or kind of such ingredient. They are made fresh and will go bad if you don’t use them within a month or two! Exciting!
They are made with the same philosophy as food, if it’s good for the inside of your body, it’s good for the outside. If you can’t eat it, then don’t cleanse with it. Your skin is still YOU.
Soap is super high alkaline – one of the many sites with information on why high alkaline products are horrible for your skin – here is one to check out – an awesome blog called Charlotte’s book
– and SCIENCE – yes, science, and MATH, you bet, math. both of those tell us just Simple facts. It’s really just Simple.
The pH of our skin is 4.5-6. No matter what, if your skin is oily or dry. Soap is usually found on the 9-10 area on the pH scale. Those numbers don’t add up for me, do they for you?
Here is an example of the Human Skin pH scale
Human skin tends to be more acidic so that it can kill all of the bacteria and harmful germs that we are exposed to all the time. Sometimes the bacteria is more than we can handle and we get sick.
Our acid mantle get’s really disrupted when we use high alkaline soaps on our skin. The precious acidic oils – Sebum – can’t compete with the soap – which is designed to strip away oil. How else do we rid the ducks and other animals that are trapped in oil spills – soap!
Also, why are women so plagued with horrible problems like yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis and bladder infections. Many of those infections can be prevented by not using high alkaline washes on our precious private areas. The soap strips away the sebum – God’s perfect defense against infection – and leaves the perfect environment for fungus, bacteria and germs to grow and thrive.
YUCK.
My doctor told me a long time ago to stop washing my body with soap. I was plagued with chronic yeast infections, bladder infections and life was horrible. YET, I thought she was an absolute disgusting idiot for telling me that – sorry for being so frank, but it’s true. I didn’t want to walk around stinking from my lady parts. Who would? The only option for me – because that is what society teaches us – is that SOAP IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR CLEANSING!
Now, I know I was WRONG!!!
We can cleanse in a supper natural and blessed way using products that are perfect pH, highly effective and gentle for our skin.
Aloe Vera is the Perfect pH. Furthermore, it is a great cleanser! According to Bustle: Rich in protein lectin, amino acids, iron, calcium and potassium, aloe vera has a natural pH level of 4.5-5.5
According to Dr Surbhi, MD Skin
Yes, you can use aloe vera on your face twice daily in morning and night for skin whitening, degreasing oily skin, curing pimples, moisturizing the dry skin, reducing wrinkles, soothing the irritated skin, calming sunburn etc. However, make sure that you either extract pure aloe vera at home or buy brands (listed at the end of article) that are free of harmful chemicals. Read further to know how to use aloe vera either alone or in combination with other natural ingredients for best possible benefits
So stop using soap, start living a fresh, clean life and start using Simply My Swank All Natural Body Care Solutions!
