So much intent

was put into me

no faith was left

desperate to see

 

I got all caught up

in intentional things

I focused on self

not the spirit who brings

true holy intention

for my sinful heart

remembering that i

should only start

every single act

removing myself

pushing aside n’

remain on the shelf

 

letting the spirit

guide me along

remembering that He

can sing a new song

the damage that’s dealt

when I hold the reigns

only brings sorrow

regrets truest pains

 

Remaining in Jesus

giving Him my intent
