Living Intentional

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Intentional this

intentional that

intentional eating

making me fat

Intentional faith

intentional say

intentional life

guiding me the wrong way

Intentional boasts

intentional me

intentional jealous

waiting to see

Intentional feed

intentional scan

intentional picture

life is a scam

Intentional thoughts

intentional mind

intentional you

was left behind

So much intent

was put into me

no faith was left

desperate to see

I got all caught up

in intentional things

I focused on self

not the spirit who brings

true holy intention

for my sinful heart

remembering that i

should only start

every single act

removing myself

pushing aside n’

remain on the shelf

letting the spirit

guide me along

remembering that He

can sing a new song

the damage that’s dealt

when I hold the reigns

only brings sorrow

regrets truest pains

Remaining in Jesus

giving Him my intent

giving to Jesus

I truly repent

I’m sorry for acting

like I knew the way

I’m down on my knees

I’m down here to say

I’m sorry, sweet Jesus,

for leaving our group

I’m sorry, sweet Jesus,

I’m humbled, I stoop

Please pick me up now

and steady my course

Please focus my mind

on You, yes, my source

of redemption, of mercy

of glory of grace

and pray that I focus

on your Holy Face

The mistakes that I make

Please teach me each time

to never repeat them

remember this rhyme

Intentional actions

Remaining in you

Intentional Katie

now humble and true.

“Sometimes we sing it because we know, sometimes we sing it until we do.”
