Courage, Trust and Faithfulness
Daniel’s life is known by this
he chose what was right,
even in spite
of the lion’s might
Daniel trusted in the Lord
and now we sing about his reward
Daniel kept his promises
and God always keeps his
no matter what life brings to you
remember this, my kids
that God will never fail
yes, He will always prevail
we should pray like Daniel prayed
do what’s right, always obey
how do I know??
the Bible says so!
see, many, many years ago
King Darius was tricked
into making a bad law, you know,
that said people could only pray
to him
for 30 days.
Daniel continued to pray
to God (three times a day)
by his window (on display)
ignoring the evil law
because
he loved and trusted God.
Because the law couldn’t be changed,
or modified
or rearranged
the king had to throw his friend
(Daniel)
into the lions’ den,
God protected Daniel
by having an angel
close the mouths of the lions
God’s power is great, there’s no denying
King Darius saw that Daniel was okay
he praised God, each and every day
