Father, I see the girl who you made
and what’s inside is the debt you paid
to give me life eternally
that’s what I see inside of me

how could You be three in one?
this has baffled everyone
but I think about you so simply
just like you made me
when I look in the mirror
this is what i see

I am a girl, named Katie
and my outside, my body
will die one day, eventually
my outside, is the stuff you can see

then, there is me, inside, my soul
it’s the stuff that’s really me
my thoughts,
my feel,
my love,
so real,
my dreams
my plans
my can’t
my cans
and you can’t see
what is really me,
my soul, she is really me

I love you Lord,
your mercy and your grace
and say Jesus you are the Christ
Father, you are Messiah, you are the truth I see
The Holy Spirit, lives inside of me

when I count all of those who make me
one, two, three, then i display
your truth, your light, your way
i am a tiny trinity
and why would it shock
or startle me?

He is Christ the Trinity
able to move within the three
separate and visible, commanding
in his will and in his way
because Creator God fully controls
the rules of the universe

I am still baffled and amazed
because even though the three is easy to count
the majesty of his reality
is an immeasurable amount

the trinity
the father, the son, the holy spirit
he is three in one
fully one, and acts at will as three
yet divine, not simple like me
