Jesus went up
on a mountain to pray.
He sent all of his
disciples away
They left on a boat
to cross the Sea
yes,
the Sea of Galilee

In the middle of the night
a strong storm arose,
and the disciples were scared.
they were full of woes

to make things worse
in the middle of the night
they saw something
and had such a fright

A Ghost?
oh no!
they saw a figure
walking on the sea
A Ghost?
oh no!
this cannot be!
oh no!
a ghost
walking on the sea

“Take Courage”
Jesus told them,
“Take courage!
It is I.
wipe those tears
from your eyes
Don’t be afraid”
in joy, Peter replied

Can I come too?
out on the sea?
i can see you
i want to walk too
Jesus said “Come to me,”
Peter obeyed
and started to walk on the sea

Peter looked away
from the Lord
at the wind and waves,
and didn’t look toward
his source of courage
he became afraid
and started to sink.
but Jesus came to his aid

“Take Courage”
Jesus told them,
“Take courage!
It is I.
wipe those tears
from your eyes

Jesus told them,
“Take courage!

Peter cried
Lord, save me!”.
Jesus immediately
caught him, said
“You of little faith,
why did you dread?”.

When they got back in the boat,
the storm went away
and the disciples worshiped Jesus
they did obey
God’s only begotten Son
this is God’s only begotten Son
