Leaps of Faith

Isaiah 41:10

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

I was just watching VeggieTales with my son.  We watched “the one about Esther”.  I can’t even imagine how scary and uncomfortable that situation was for her and for her family.  Have you ever been in a situation like Esther, having to take a massive leap of faith because you knew it was the right thing to do?

Esther 4:14

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

There are challenges all around us and endless opportunities to live our lives for God.  Sometimes the things he calls us for are scary and puts us in uncomfortable situations.  The reward for following His way far exceeds the easy path.  God will teach us things that will change our lives forever if we just follow Him.  We can’t see the end of the journey, only He can see that, but there is comfort in knowing that HE does!

Lord let me see only Your way

Teach me to love you every single day

Give me a heart of complete trust

so that when you say that I must

Do something that I don’t like

That I stand tall and drop the mic

and say guess what, I don’t care

I will do what other’s won’t dare!

Cause I have strength in God above

HE taught me with sacrificial love

and gave me hope for eternity

so I WILL do what He asks of me!

Leaps of Faith are usually scary

but I will soar and not grow weary

cause nothing on Earth can ever surpass

the trust I have that lives and lasts

and I will look at my path and say

this is what I was designed for, this today!

What if you missed your whole life plan

by standing still, not leaping, like you can

Fear doesn’t pay, so don’t miss your call

Trust in the leaps, instead of the fall.

Isaiah 40:31

but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
