Stressed out
things to do
shoulders up
face is screwed
up so sour
frustrated
Don’t like what
She’s been plated.
Same old day
Same old song
dragging on
Way too long
need much more
Than this job
sees a Fence
Lustful sob
anything but
What she has
nothing good
Eyes the grass

laundry, dishes
dust and floors
beds, toys, sink
bathroom, chores
“Yuck,” she whispers
through her teeth
I’d rather be resting
underneath
a palm tree blowing
in the wind
restful music
then she grinned
the grass over there
looked so nice
“so dang tired”
whisper voice
These sleepy feet
need a rest
On. her. knees.
This. is. best.

Hands clasped
“Help,” she said
Instantly felt
Light instead.
As she looked
up to the sky
breeze blew
special sigh

Shoulders relaxed
back is straight
Sees the blessings
on her plate
Same sweet day
lessons learned
Joyful laughter
Love overturned
a sinful glance
temptation’s nudge
Yet, steadfast Christian
wouldn’t budge.
Safe little house
Precious ones
Dedicated to
Having fun
Thankful for
HIS gentle reminder
Dying grass
put behind her
Rotten fence
just the sun
shadows scattered
Almost came undone
Now revealed
is her truth
all is good
under her roof
Building lives
straight to Heaven
Each day spent
one through seven
Working hard
ups and downs
Through it all
God is found
Pulling her up
HIS hands support her?
RESURRECTION?!
Steady soldier
Focused now
God’s so good
Tears down fence
made of wood.
Steady hands
build a gate
Door to God
Knows sins fate.

Weakness turned
Into power!
Where she stood
Now a reminder
the grass isn’t greener
It’s just an illusion
don’t take the apple
A sinful solution
to dig you deeper
in your grave
Look up now
She behaves
Like the girl
She was made to be
selflessly living
for eternity.

James 1:13-18
When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
