I listened to this video this morning for His Reason.

When it got to Oprah‘s voice it made me cry.  It spoke to me because I am a survivor!  When I was 19 I found out I had a bone tumor in my right leg.  It caused me a lot of pain, and I was unable to walk without crutches or a wheelchair for about 2 years.  It encompassed my entire femur and was 12 cm long.  It was a giant cell tumor.  I had 7 major surgeries on my leg.  2 of which was during my second year of university.  It was overwhelming, scary and life-changing at such a young age.

I kicked that tumors butt by the grace of God.  Years later I found out that giant cell tumors can metastasize to the lungs.  Some people do not survive this condition.  Some people lose their limbs.  God blessed me with my survival. And I still have my whole leg.  I am so, so thankful.

I am here because of HIS GRACE.  I am here for a REASON.  I am here for a PURPOSE.  He wants to use me.  What if this is it?

Oprah said,

“You are still here.  You get another chance. This day.  To do better and be better.”

“Another chance to become more of who you were created and what you were created to fulfill.”

This made me cry, not because I am sad.  Because I am overwhelmed with HIS power.  He has enabled me.  He has empowered me.  He has ignited me with insight, with purpose and with understanding.  I am so thankful.

This Christian life is way better than the past.

Everyday is better than the last

because I feel HIM in ME.
