You can remodel that ugly room

as you start that remodel task.

You will drive, music on,

make a turn, and make it wrong

You went right and said, that’s fine…

I go here quick, and I’ll have time

To get the things that I wrote down

I’ll just peek here, then turn around!

You pop into that cute, fun store

and roam around and poke some more.

Now focus, remember the important list?

But what’s this now, a new body mist!

You’ll left the house with goal in mind

Do you think that is what you’ll find?

No, you’re attention was not paid

How was that mistake just made?

A random thing you didn’t need,

In spite of your determined creed,

will end up in your awesome truck

oh joy, oh bliss, oh man, what luck!

You found some treasures, you feel great!

oh no, time’s past, now you’re late!!

And your list was left in aisle 2

right beside that pretty red shoe!

Shrug, you bought expensive pants

That fit too tight, but you took a stance

And said I’ll diet, that’s what I’ll do

Don’t you judge, you’ve done this too!

You blame it all on the wrong turn

and smile big as you burn

the receipt from your shopping spree

at TJ Maxx, not Home Depot…hehe!

As you know, I am determined to remodel that gross laundry room that lurks at the end of my hallway.  I am going to do it for sure.  It will be kinda fun to pick out new fixtures, new hardware, paint, storage, accessories…

meah…I’d rather go to TJ Maxx.  That place is so fun.  I can buy some cute accessories for that laundry room…plus, I can buy some new books for the kids!  We were there yesterday, and we found this book at TJ Maxx for $8.99.  That’s a $4 savings Y’ALL!!! That series is amazing by the way!!!  If you don’t have these books yet, you have to get them!  ahem….See how easy it is to get distracted while shopping?!

I love shopping at TJ Maxx for cute outfits.  I just started a new page on my blog called  Daily Style Card where I post cute outfits for discounted prices.  I worked in fashion for 7 years, and it is still my passion, so I am super excited about adding that to Simply My Swank.  Sorry Home Depot, I found it much more rewarding picking out that cute outfit, instead of the pulls for my cupboard doors in the laundry room…

I also love working on projects around my house.  It’s super fun to own a home and to customize little things here and there.  I also think it’s super fun to buy new clothes and look cute now that I am back to a healthy weight.  It is an awesome reward for all of my hard work.  That 10 Day Detox made me feel so healthy, and I feel great in my clothes.  It’s fun to get dressed in the morning and feel confident and beautiful.  I am pumped to see how beautiful my laundry room looks after I complete my remodel!  This new task is going to be really rewarding too.

Dear Lord, 

Please keep me grateful and thankful for all of the things I have.  Help me to be humble and responsible with my shopping.  I am an example to my children and I want to raise them knowing that hard work pays off.  I want to stay focused on my goal and achieve the tasks that I have set for myself.  

Thank you for fun days with my children.  We love them so much and we are very thankful for all of the talented authors that make story time so much fun.  Please bless our home.  We love you so much!
