Summer is gone once again
I am not sad to see it end
The seasons all rule with their own power
and Autumn is Queen, Summer must cower
She makes the sun lie low in the sky
and makes it’s light pass quickly by.
Fall is when the trees will rest
they gave us shade, we are so blessed
before they fall entirely to sleep
they have a party, the colors keep
exploding like fireworks we see in the day
they bring us joy in a visual way
Yellow, purple, orange and red
A grand farewell, then bury their heads

We breathe in a crisp and fresh new air
The morning is chilly and so fully aware
Dew collects upon the grass
temporary diamonds that only last
for brief moments in the early hours
Our King perfects change with His great powers
He commands the seasons to come and go
To show us all he loves us so
He’s the greatest artist that’s ever been
with Devine Creativity that has no end

Then as some plants go rest their heads
others are growing and pop out of beds
Corn is climbing from seeds to great heights
Apples are ready to pick, such delights
We watch as the pumpkins grow in their patch
Fall provides treasures not much can match
This season is full of fresh, new, and great things
It’s takes away heat and totally brings
a season where cuddles are exciting and cozy
blankets, sweaters, and cheeks that are rosy
I love fall for so many reasons
thank you God for all of our seasons.
Galatians 6:9
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Isaiah 55:10-11
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
God is so Good. All the time, for every season for every moment of life. Fall has become my favorite season. I love it because I live in Southern California where the temperatures in the summer become sweaty and unbearable at 90-100 degrees. Oh my life’s crazy pendulum swing…When I lived in 9 months of winter, I craved the heat of the sun. Not anymore, bring on the perfect and chilly fall.
Now, I love fall because the days are a beautiful 60-70 degree span and the air becomes crisp and clean. I love cuddles with my family and shorter cozier days. I love letting go of the pressure of filling the long summer hours with exhausting activities and responsibility. I love you fall. Plus, who on God’s green earth isn’t super excited about the Pumpkin Spice Season. And the angles sing…Thank you God for pumpkins.
Seasons come and go. My life has been full of so many interesting seasons. Each season is beautiful in it’s own special way. Some are difficult to think about, but those seasons have such important lessons. If I were to forget about them, I would probably let them happen again. Some seasons are so full of joy and happiness. It’s our heavenly pendulum swing. Seasons represent change, and change is perfect just as God designed.
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
3 For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;a time to keep, and a time to cast away;7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

So beautiful. I do love this time of year. Although Fall doesn’t really show up in New Mexico until late October, and sometimes not even then. My kids swam in their kiddie pool last November. Ha! I love that verse from Ecclesiastes. Really invokes a spirit of peace. 😊

Beautiful poem and visual Simply My Swank 😊 Thank you for sharing your favorite time of year. Our heat broke in Labor Day with refreshing rain which has continued on and off through today. We don’t get much winter here in southern Oklahoma, but I sure enjoy pots of soup, afghans on the couch and flannel p.j.’s😊 Looking forward to reading more on your blog.
