Forced Recession – Motive for the Madness

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

There is so much comfort in knowing the facts.  My husband and I were talking about the economy the other day.  We were discussing how many Hummers we were seeing on the road and he knowingly commented, “we are in for it.  It’s a sign of the times!”  Haha, oh man, another recession is coming.

It is comforting to know what is the motive for the madness.  The economy has been super strong under our awesome President Donald Trump.  We have enjoyed the comfort and spending/earning power for a long time.  A healthy economy must have ups and downs, however, in order to maintain strength and power.  Thus, the motive for the madness.

We are in the midst of a forced recession folks.  The stock market is taking a great hit only to be allowed it’s healthy reset and we will be on the incline before you know it.  We will see a bunch of people selling homes, a bunch of people “prepping” and a bunch of people struggling.  Time to put on your work pants folks.

It’s normal, natural and, yes, sad.

It’s also a time, as a community, that we reach out to one anther, start smiling again, talking to one another a lot more friendly, help and support one another.  It’s amazing to see the change in everyone.  In the midst of the fear pressure – I see the opposite.  I see strangers chatting, people smiling and saying “hi” in passing and community support so beautiful.

It’s time to give to each other as you would have others give unto you.  It’s time to look for others in need and offer help.  It’s time to join together and offer comfort, not agitate the fear.  In a time where most are full of fear, it’s our Christian mission to offer Jesus.  It’s the perfect time to give people the comfort of Jesus.  They are looking for it desperately right now!  How exciting is that?!

See through the madness, see through the muck and mire, live for Jesus, and enjoy this time with your family.  Know everything works together for the GOOD – to those that LOVE God and to those who are called according to HIS purpose.  That’s in the Bible – so it’s true.  Praise!

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
