Are You Following “the Fool”? Or the Foolish.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword,it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Look at them?

such strange act

look at them

building that

pointless work

all for what

makes me laugh

grab my gut

point my finger

mean voice stings

they keep working

strangest things

They keep singing

love’s sweet song

God is love

I belong

on the wrong team

yet, look at me?

Living my dream!

Can’t they see

the jewels I wear?

The cars I have?

How do they dare?

Look a them

covered in dirt

ragged clothes

ripped up shirt

working tirelessly

day and night

full of passion

in their plight

What are they building?

on their land

I can’t see clear

can’t understand.

They say my life

is structured wrong

yet, look what I built

steadfast strong!

No one can take

this away

Look at the price

I had to pay!

They are such fools

I see the mold

look at that

Truth be told.

We are miles

from the shore

I don’t get it

what’s in store?

They say God

gives them the plan

how to build it

But I’m telling you Stan,

They are fools

depreciating the place

Look at that mess

Stressed out face.

I would never be

Fools like them

don’t they have pride

like a puffed up hen?

Don’t they value

the here and now?

Don’t they see money

like a swollen cow?

Don’t they seek pleasure

all around

Don’t they wish fame

and fortune profound?

Well, they have fame

everyone is talking.

Yet, they keep on working,

Building, walking

around telling folks about God

Saying He’s the answer

and that end is close, Todd.

Look at those fools

with arms stretched wide

don’t they have shame?

Don’t they have pride?

Look at me!

Do you honestly see an end?

look at my fortress!

Those fools just pretend

It’s a joke,

They don’t know

come on, Todd

Let’s just go.

Years pass, and those fools

they kept building

and loving

and telling

everyone they met

the truth, as they knew,

that God and His love

was the answer, so true.

One day the end

of sin and it’s power

would be swept all away

in a massive rain shower.

The power and majesty

of the One True God

and only the fools

would be safe from His rod

Sweeping away sin

from all of the Earth

creating a Heaven

Eternity’s worth

All of the bullies

in their barnyard stance

that laughed at fool’s voice

when given the chance

to accept God’s love

to accept His mercy

to change their hearts

to join His journey

The ones who chose

to snicker and taunt

Comfortable with now

the money they flaunt

Can’t buy their way

out of their sinful choices

sickened now

screams in their voices

Now who’s the fool

The end arrived

and the fool and his family

were all who survived

All of their pain

life-long subjected

being taunted, teased

simply rejected

Paid them heaven

and eternal tomorrow

wiped away tears

and all of life’s sorrow

wrapped up in God

and all of His Splendor

So, who was the “fool”

and will YOU surrender?

tomorrow’s not promised

only right now

the choice is yours

please simply bow

Read Genesis 6

and read the entire book of Revelation.  It’s a eye opener.  The promise of an end of Earthly sin is real.  God keeps His promises.  Time and time again, it’s proven.  The choice is yours.

Revelation 1 New International Version (NIV)

Prologue

The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
